May 2026 Primary Recap
We got what we needed for now, but turnout continues to disappoint
Dear Wrightstown Voters,
First and foremost, we’d like to express our thanks to our voters who turned out for the May Primary. We needed to get our slate of Republican State Committee candidates elected and we needed to get Jason Richey, Stacy Garrity’s choice for a running mate, through to November as the Republican candidate for Lt. Governor. We succeeded at both.
Primary elections produce notoriously low turnout for both parties compared to General elections. However, since there are essentially two separate elections with no crossover, it gives us an opportunity to compare the parties in terms of their engagement with their own constituents. We have done some analysis and see some red flags (not the good kind).
Once again, the Dems turned out their voters in substantially higher numbers at the state and county level. As usual, Wrightstown outperformed our republican peers, but even we finished second to our opponents in voter turnout and in the use of mail ballots – and yes the two are linked.
• At the State level 28.8% of democrats voted vs 17.5% of Republicans
• The gap was wider in Bucks – 35.2% D’s vs 19.2% R’s
• Wrightstown’s gap was smaller, but it was still Dems 38.5% to 24.8%
Pennsylvania is purple with about 3.8M registered Democrats to 3.6M registered Republicans. Their registration advantage is 192,386, yet they turned out 465,000 MORE voters in the primary. That does not bode well for the midterms.
In Bucks we enjoy a small registration advantage of 8,700 voters yet they sent 29,389 more voters to the polls (and mailboxes).
In Wrightstown, we have a 461 voter advantage - all of which we squandered, casting 4 fewer votes than our opponents in May.
Regarding mail ballots requested in Bucks, the Dems won that too - by an over 2-1 margin. There is no doubt that captured voters who otherwise may not venture out to their polling places.
True, we do not compete head-to-head with Democrats in primaries, but we do in November. We learned all too well the consequences of not turning out when we got wiped out in the County Row races last November - losses tied directly to voter turnout. The GOP is working hard at every level to reverse that trend. Our registration gains are impressive and have been for a while, but that goes for naught if we don’t show up at the ballot box. As we head in the general election, we ask that you make a plan to vote and that you urge your family and friends to do so too.
Visit our Events Page to learn about our upcoming Ice Cream Social. State Senator Frank Farry and State Rep Kristen Marcell will be on hand to share some victories and battle scars. They will drive home the importance of winning elections – and the likely consequences if we don’t. It’s a tough message, but it goes down better with (free) ice cream.
See you there,

The Importance of THIS Primary Election - Please complete your Mail Ballot!
Dear Wrightstown Republican Voters,
As you know, we have a primary election on May 19. The majority of our candidates are running unopposed for the party’s nomination; Stacy Garrity- Governor, Brian Fitzpatrick- Congress, Frank Farry- State Senate, and Kristin Marcell- State Representative. For Lt. Governor, we recommend Jason Richey.
The local candidates who do have opposition are those running for State Committee. For them, this is not a primary - this IS the election. Many people don’t understand the important role that State Committee members perform. Candidates for this role are screened, voted on and endorsed by the GOP organization. All have many years of service to the party. They run campaigns, hold elected positions, chair large GOP townships, and serve as project leaders for coordinating county-wide poll coverage. They help with getting out the vote (GOTV) activities and implementing mail ballot strategies. It’s important for these people to have a strong working relationship with the GOP chairman as they are part of the leadership team. There are a number of opposition candidates on the ballot who have no intention of working for the good of the whole. They are uncompromisingly ideologically driven, and have never produced meaningful results in winning elections. This divisive group of candidates cannot prevail if we want a unified, effective GOP party.
The Bucks County GOP’s strong leadership team has been very successful over the years, and State Committee members are an important part of that.
We respectfully ask you to cast your vote for this battle-tested team of nine women and nine men.

February 2026
2026 - An Important Year on Many Levels
Dear Wrightstown Voters,
Thank you once again for the outstanding support this past November! Municipal Elections typically generate poor turnout, but 2025 was an exception for Wrightstown Republicans and Wrightstown voters in general. Recent Municipal elections have generated voter turnout in the mid 30% range. In November, 58% of Wrightstown voters cast their votes - 44% by mail.
60% of Wrightstown Republicans voted - 42% casting their ballots by mail.
67% of Wrightstown Democrats voted - 50% by mail.
As voting by mail becomes an integral part of our elections, it’s obvious that it fundamentally changes election math. The difference in turnout could have been completely erased if we’d had 8% more republicans go from no-shows to mail voters. The good news is that our advantage in registration meant that Republicans accounted for 51% of the votes cast in Wrightstown vs 36% for Democrats.
For the 2026 cycle our goal is to maintain or increase our registration advantage AND win the turnout battle in order to maximize the impact of Wrightstown Republican voters. We saw in November that the poor turnout county-wide hurt us badly in the row officer races but we swept the board in our Wrightstown offices and nearly pulled off a major upset in the school board election.
This year, if we meet our goals, we can go a long way to ensuring that Kristin Marcell and Frank Farry continue to represent us in Harrisburg. That’s Wrightstown making a difference!
Let’s establish the habit by participating in the Primary process in preparation for the main event in November. This will energize our registration efforts and help our fellow Republicans make a plan to vote - be it by mail or at the polls. A good start would be to join us for our Pizza & Petitions event on February 21st at Dominick’s Pizza. In addition to sharing pizza, signing and visiting with like-minded neighbors, you can meet your candidates and share your thoughts and ideas.
You can also consider joining our growing ranks of volunteers. The enthusiasm of our 2025 team of volunteers was gratifying - and fun to be a part of. Follow this “Contact” link to let us know you are interested.
Our strong turnout in the last election resulted from extensive outreach to our voters using a variety of tools. While we pride ourselves as being a low cost committee, our activities require a few dollars for us to email and/or print and mail information. Please consider making a modest contribution to our committee by clicking here to make an on-line donation. You’d be surprised how much good a $20 donation can do! This will enable us to keep you informed and provide everything you need to cast your vote. We do promise not to “overload” your email or postal mail box!

Thanks again,
