Local elections directly impact your quality of life and we need the very best people serving our community. Please read on to learn more abut our slate of candidates.
We hope you are voting by mail and have provided this information to recommend which candidates to support. It’s important to remember that candidates for judgeships and school board cross-file meaning they are on both the Republican and Democrat tickets. By voting for our endorsed candidates you can be sure that you are supporting the Republican ticket. Please scroll down through the entire page to ensure you have all the information you need.
You will notice this year that there is a candidate running as a Democratic judge with the last name of Fitzpatrick. This individual has no family relationship to either Mike or Brian Fitzpatrick. Below is our endorsed slate of Candidates for County Row Officers, Judges, Wrightstown Supervisor and Council Rock School Board Director for District 9.
WRIGHTSTOWN CANDIDATES
Council Rock School Board DIrector, DIstrict 9 - Dave Espenshade
Dave Espenshade is an executive in technology sales of a $450 million company. He has expertise in analyzing profit and loss statements and making senior level managerial decisions. As a father of two boys who graduated from Council Rock, he was an active participant in his kids education he mentored and coached throughout their elementary and high school years. He is interested in taking immediate action to reduce the overcrowding of Wrightstown Elementary School, reducing the $400 million proposed capital budget and bringing fiscal sanity to CRSD programs and decisions.
Wrightstown Supervisor - Chester Pogonowski
Chester Pogonowski has served as a township supervisor for the past 35 years, having built the township’s reputation as one of the best managed townships in the state. Republican Supervisors have been successful in managing development and preserving open space. Chester has successfully negotiated a 10 year $1MM savings by moving police coverage from Buckingham to Newtown; compounded additional savings over the next two 10-year contracts. He was involved in preserving more than 860 acres (18%) of Wrightstown through public/private partnerships; 340 acres in direct township ownership. He worked with zoning partners Newtown and Upper Makefield to manage development and to bring the National Veterans Cemetery to Washington Crossing.
Wrightstown Tax Collector - Greg Soto
Greg has served the Wrightstown community for over 30 years and is responsible for collecting real estate taxes levied by the School District, County and Township. He ensures that tax revenues are quickly transferred to the taxing authority. One of his most valuable services is always being available to help residents solve tax related questions. He advocates for lower taxes to enable our seniors to remain in their homes here in Wrightstown.
Wrightstown Auditor - Victoria Guest
Victoria has been a small business owner who is currently a Real Estate Agent. She is familiar with financial transactions and understands the accounting processes that a business or township conducts and the importance of accurate and timely audits.
Wrightstown Judge of Elections- Dave Dutko
Dave has served as our Judge of Elections for over 4 years. He is knowledgeable, patient and makes sure our elections are accurate and safe. Dave is responsible for opening the polls and getting your vote to the Court House election night.
Wrightstown Inspector of Elections - Lynne Bowen
Lynne is a native of Wrightstown who volunteers at the polls. You will routinely see her helping to open the polls early on election day and there at the end to help count the vote. During the day she is checking in people, working the poll books and providing help where needed. Lynne is running for an open position where the previous Inspector has opted not to run this election cycle.
COUNTY CANDIDATES
Bucks County Court of Common Pleas Candidates
Joe Pizzo
Joe’s areas of practice include municipal law, zoning and land use law, real estate law, election law and civil litigation. He has served as solicitor and special counsel to numerous municipalities and governmental agencies, including Bensalem Township and Northampton Township where he currently serves as township solicitor.
Grace Deon
President and CEO of Eastburn and Gray, P.C, the largest and oldest law firm in Bucks County, Grace Deon brings 32 years of experience as a trial lawyer. For 30 years, Grace has acted as the President of the Distribution Committee for the Bucks County Foundation, a community trust of $15 million that oversees grant applications and awards to a variety of charitable organizations in Bucks County.
Chelsey Crocker Jackman
Chelsey has spent nearly her entire legal career serving the residents of Bucks County in the District Attorney’s office, rising to the position of Deputy District Attorney. Chelsey has worked in both the Special Victims Unit and the was CHief of the Human Trafficking Division.
Colin Monahan
Colin has worked on a litany of matters spanning the legal spectrum from high value injury matters and federal Civil Rights cases to simple traffic cases. He brings a breadth of experience and a commitment to efficient, practical, commonsense solutions to bear on client matters.
Bucks County District Attorney – Jen Schorn
District Attorney Jen Schorn (Warwick Twp) took office in January 2024 following former District Attorney Matt Weintraub’s election to the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas. Ms. Schorn has prosecuted all types of criminal cases including murder, child sexual and physical abuse, human trafficking, and major crimes, and is credited with helping solve a number of cold case homicides in Bucks County.
Bucks County Sheriff – Fred Harran
Sheriff Fred Harran (Bristol Boro) has spent nearly 4 decades serving Bucks County as a Law Enforcement Officer. Starting as a Police Officer in Bensalem Township and rising to the rank of Director of Public Safety in Bensalem, a position he held for 16 years before being elected Bucks County Sheriff in 2021.
Bucks County Controller – Pamela Van Blunk
During her tenure as Bucks County’s Controller, Ms. Van Blunk prioritized the Controller’s Fraud, Waste & Abuse program that saved the county over $1 million in taxpayer funds. Ms. Van Blunk also implemented the Unclaimed Funds program which, in just two years, has returned over $700,000 to the rightful owners, including municipalities, police departments, school districts, small business owners, non-profit organizations, and residents. Bucks County Recorder of Deeds – Dan McPhillips
Dan’s office is responsible for recording and maintaining real estate documents in Bucks County. He implemented a free Fraud Alert Program to protect your property. Dan is currently serving as your Recorder of Deeds. Previously, Dan served as Chairman of the Warminster Township Board of Supervisors, and as President of the Bucks County Association of Township Officials.
Bucks County Prothonotary – Coleen Christian
Coleen has modernized the Prothonotary’s office, and is committed to continuing serving both the public, and the legal community, in the most effective and efficient way. She has.re-opened the satellite offices to serve residents throughout Bucks County and has streamlined the passport application process in the Prothonotary’s office and is committed to ensuring that the main office and satellite locations are providing the best possible service to the residents of Bucks County.
STATE JUDICIAL CANDIDATES
PA Superior Court Judge - Ann Marie Wheatcraft
Ann Marie has dedicated her career to making Chester County a safer and better place to live, work, and raise a family. For the last 13 years, she has served as a Judge on the Chester County Court of Common Pleas and currently serves as its President Judge. During her time on the bench, she has consistently handed out some of the toughest punishments for violent criminals.
PA Commonwealth Court Judge - Matt Wolford
Matt is a proven legal expert with a deep understanding of government and the law. Throughout his career, he has litigated cases in State and Federal courts, as well as quasi-judicial State agencies, many of which were argued before the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court.
If you are using US Mail to return your ballot, please use a Post Office with 24 hour lobby hours (Newtown, Penns Park, Wycombe, Furlong) and mail your ballot inside.
You can also drop your Ballot at Bucks County Administration Building (Old Courthouse), 55 E Court Street, Doylestown, during normal business hours. You may only drop off your own ballot!
Beginning Monday May 5, you may drop off your ballot at the Free Library of Northampton, 25 Upper Holland Rd., Richboro, Monday thru Thursday (9AM-8PM), Friday & Saturday (9AM-4PM). You may only drop off your own ballot!
All Mail Ballots must be received by the Board of Elections in Doylestown by 8PM on Primary Day, May 20!
